I cannot make this kind of stuff up. I’ve tried.

They Might Be Giants, that fantastically cool/bizarre band from New York is sponsoring a Seattle-area Little League team.

Seriously. (www.tmbg/littleleague/)

I thought I’d seen it all. But maybe it makes sense. The band recently won a Grammy for Best Musical Album for Children for “Here Come the 123s.”

Apparently the band is sponsoring another 10 teams across the land (and hey, maybe in Constantinople, too … tmbg joke … ) so if you have a little league team, check out the link.

I’m trying to think of the rally cries in their team's dugout.

“Put a little triple in your soul!”

“I lost my lucky ball and bat, and now they’re four innings gone!”

“Particle Man hates Umpire Man. They have a fight, Particle wins. Particle Man.”

Ahem. Yes, I’m a tmbg dork sometimes. Let me have my fun.
