This came across the old sports desk a little late Monday, but thought it should get a mention somewhere.
The Port Angeles Speedway hosts a food drive for both P.A. and Sequim food banks on Saturday.
Bring in two cans of food and get $2 off your admission ticket.
On tap for the evening is racing action in several categories: Drift Cars, Dwarf Cars, Hornets, Crash-to -ass Cars and Modifieds, plus a smoke show.
Spectator gates open at 4 p.m. with qualifying starting at 5 p.m.
All canned food received for the food banks are scheduled to given to Port Angeles and Sequim food bank reps at half time.
In a similar effort, Sequim and Port Angeles High School baseball players raised a bunch of grub for local food banks at their May 4 game.
