Sorry about the delay - scheduling conflict.

Sequim's boys stay alive with a 47-35 win against Tumwater, led by the 18 points of Ary Webb and 17 from John Textor.

See the full story on the main sports page, www.sequimgazette.com/sports.

With Webb on the bench, Textor stepped up big time and helped push the lead to double digits.

“We had a bit of a lead,” Sequim coach Greg Glasser said. “In my head, it was, ‘Let’s take the air out of the ball. Maybe we can survive until we can get Ary back in there.’ The kids did not just survive they spread it out, were real patient and got some lay-ups out of it.”

Sequim takes on an old rival — North Mason — on Friday morning at 10:30 a.m.

-------

After three quarters, it's 27-21 Sequim, thanks to a Corbin Webb three-pointer with three seocnds on the clock. Sequim's Ary Webb and Tumwater's Rocky Hinkle each have four fouls and may see limited time in the fourth quarter.

------

With 3:47 to go in the third quarter, Sequim has a 21-17 lead on Tumwater. Ary Webb has 13 points but now has four personal fouls and is on the bench. We'll see if the Wolves can hold on.

--------

It's a wild one in Yakima (wish I were there)! Tumwater leads Sequim 17-16 at halftime. Nick Skinner leads the T-Birds with five points while Ary Webb leads the Wolves with eight points.

Sequim is just 5-of-20 from the field (25 percent) and 12 turnovers but has taken advantage of some terrible Tumwater shooting: 5-of-27, 19 percent from the field and 6-of-13, 47 percent from the free throw line.

Four T-Birds are in modest foul trouble with two each, while Sequim's Clancy Catelli and Jeremie Oliver have two apiece.

Remember: winner of this game plays on, loser goes/comes home.

------

With a 10-0 run in the second quarter, the Wolves have taken a 16-14 lead against Tumwater with 2:11 to go in the first half.

Ary Webb has a game-high eight points.

-----

Tumwater has six players with at least one point and lead the Wolves 14-10 halfway through the second quarter.

The T-Birds have held Ary Webb, Sequim's leading scorer, to four points. Jeremie Oliver, John Textor and Corbin Webb have two points each.

-------

It's a low-scoring first quarter. Tumwater has the lead at 7-2, led by the three points of Kory Hamilton. John Textor has Sequim's only points.

Both teams are shooting poorly in the early-going. Tumwater is 3-for-12 from the field while Sequim is 1-for-8. The teams have combined for 13 turnovers.

Tumwater's Jake Dowers, a significant player on the T-Birds' roster, is in foul trouble with two personals.

------------

In the early going, it's 3-2 Tumwater. Kory Hamilton has a three-pointer for the T-Birds while John Textor has a bucket for Sequim.

Starting for the Wolves is Clancy Catelli, Jeremie Oliver, John Textor, Ary Webb and Corbin Webb. Starting for the T-Birds is Daniel DeVries, Jake Dowers, Kory Hamilton, Rocky Hinkle and Kyle Warner.
