They sent their seniors off with cheers and a song.

Sequim High School's equestrian team lauded its four seniors at the season's final district meet, held at Trail's End Arena in Olympic from April 17-19.

Tori Cantelow, Cody Chase, Ashley Priddy and Lucas Martins, an exchange student from Brazil, competed in their final district meet.

Chase made it a memorable last meet with a first-place finish in In-Hand Trail while Priddy teamed with Brooke Stromberg to take first in Steer Sorting. Cantelow's top finish was second place in Keyhole while Martins was fifth in Polebending and helping the Sequim squad take second overall in Drill Team.

A team of Sequim youths led the audience in the national anthem, including Connor Ackley, Shannon Robbins, Dalton Ackley and Stephanie Dunbar, accompanied by Dennis Ackley on guitar.
