Players cap tourney with doubles titles

Not even a quick-moving rainstorm on Saturday afternoon could keep players away at the second and final weekend of the Saundra Kent Memorial Tennis Tournament in Port Angeles last week.

As in past years, the tourney showcased some of the top tennis players on the peninsula and saw a strong contingent of Sequim players, highlighted by an all-Sequim final in the Mixed 4.0 Doubles, where Kyle McKenzie and Justine Textor outlasted Doug and Allison Hastings 6-3 and 6-4.
