Go ahead. Give it to the big man.

Coming off a close loss to perhaps Peninsula’s biggest rival, the Pirates were looking for a little payback. They got it in the form of a 28-point win against Olympic Saturday night, with Clay Greenland leading the charge.

Greenland scored 26 points on 10-of-17 shooting while teammate Jesse Bean tossed in 20 as Peninsula (8-3 in NWAACC, 17-7 overall) clobbered the visiting Rangers 98-70.

Dominick Lozano added 15 points as P.C. converted 23 Ranger miscues into 29 points.

Up 48-31 at halftime, Peninsula upped their lead to 88-58 in the second half.

Olympic shot just 39-percent from the field, missing 14 of 24 free throw tries.

Duntae Jones led the Rangers with 20 points.

On Feb. 6, Peninsula took a knock from their rivals from Bellevue, falling 67-63 on the road.

Lozano scored 22 points but made just four of 13 three-point tries as the Bulldog defense stymied Peninsula into 37-percent shooting.

Greenland was particularly held in check after scoring 10 points, 11 below his average.

Josh Monagle led the Bulldogs with 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Bellevue held an edge on the boards, out-rebounding the Pirates 49-37.

The Bellevue win means the teams split their conference two-game series; Peninsula edged Bellevue 59-50 on Jan. 9.

Peninsula is back in action Feb. 13 at Skagit Valley and at North Seattle Feb. 16 before hosting division-leading Whatcom Feb. 18.
