The Community Organic Garden of Sequim ended this year's season with a feast and a crowning Friday, Oct. 16.

Pat Fox, a community garden plot holder, developed a compost program and was crowned King of Compost for his efforts by fellow gardeners.

The Rev. Maggie Bourne-Raiswell, associate priest at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, led a litany of thanksgiving to the garden and a dedication for the winter months in hopes that the garden will be strong next year.

Members then held a potluck and brief program.

This was the second full season for the garden, which is behind St. Luke's Episcopal Church at 525 N. Fifth Ave.

If you are interested in gardening and/or renting a plot next season, call Lizbeth Harper at 683-7698.
