Petco held their third animal costume contest Saturday, Oct. 24, in Sequim. Families from Sequim and Port Angeles dressed dogs as clowns, pirates and more.

The contest was free to enter and every participant received a prize with first place winning a $10 gift card and second and third places $5 each.

Hayden Crane, 10, of Sequim, and his dog, Shiloh, a schnauzer, Boston terrier, Welsh corgi mix won first.

They were a knight and court jester. Last year Crane was a magician and Shiloh was the white rabbit. He plans to wear a Cheez-It costume for Halloween.
