Olympic Oxygen has earned the Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval(tm) by demonstrating compliance with the commission's national standards for health care quality and safety.

The Joint Commission also continued the accreditation of Olympic Medical Center and Olympic Medical Home Health.

The commission conducted an unannounced, on-site evaluation of Olympic Oxygen.

"In becoming accredited, Olympic Oxygen was evaluated against a set of national standards by The Joint Commission's surveyor experienced in the delivery of home care services," said Gina Zimmermann, M.S., senior executive director of The Joint Commission.

These include more than 8,000 hospitals and home care organizations, and more than 6,800 other health care organizations that provide long-term care, assisted living, behavioral health care, laboratory and ambulatory care services.
