Sequim Arts held its annual juried show from May 7-10 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Here are its award winners: Best in Show: "Lovee" the Little Dragon captured hearts -- and the top award. Titled "Tight Squeeze" and done by artist Viva Jones, Sequim, it is a large ceramic standing more than 2 feet tall. Second Place: "Ocean Breath" by Wanda Mawhinney, Port Ludlow - mixed media Third Place: "The Three Stooges" by Betty Gardner, Priest River, Idaho - mixed media Fourth Place: "Emerging" by Larry McCaffrey, Sequim - welded stainless steel Merit Award: "Going Down In A Blaze of Glory" by Saundra Cutsinger, Sequim - watercolor Merit Award: "Storm Watch" by Lynne Armstrong, Port Angeles - watercolor Merit Award: "Gorge du Verdun" by Carol Heath Stabile, Port Townsend - pastel Merit Award: "Ode to the Grid" by Mary Franchini, Sequim - mixed media Merit Award: "Storm Approaching" by Larry Barnes, Sequim - photography Merit Award: "Raku and Cedar" by Dianne Johnston, Sequim - ceramics Merit Award: "John Day Walk" by Gary Meader, Everson - photography
