The HoofBeats Riding Club at Freedom Farm, Inc. has signed up this year to take part in the ride-a-thon portion of the Dungeness River Audubon Center Spring Fling.

Dungeness Spring Fling, similar to a "walk-a-thon," is one of the fundraisers for the Dungeness River Audubon Center and Railroad Bridge Park.

Individuals and businesses are invited to pledge a set amount, or a dollar or cent figure per mile or per hour ridden.

Money from pledges will be used for youth education, conservation and trails maintenance at Dungeness River Audubon Center.

Participation is available in one or more activities, for example walking and biking.

Participants can form a team, or join a prearranged team.

Register, gather pledges and record miles covered (or species counted for birds) during the Spring Fling Window, through June 10.

Participants who raise the most money and go the greatest distances will be recognized at the awards party.

More information is available at 683-1355 or julie

jackson@wavecable.com.

Awards go to those who raise the most money at the Spring Fling Awards Frolic 3-6 p.m. June 20 at the River Center in Railroad Bridge Park, 2151 W. Hendrickson Road, Sequim.
