The No Bridge - No Problem campaign was the topic Feb. 18 at the Sequim Quality Inn on River Road. Business owners discussed strategies to increase revenue during the May 1-June 15 Hood Canal bridge closure with campaign representatives: _ Vickie Maples, executive director of the Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce _ Russ Veenema, executive director of Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce _ Pat McCauley, owner of Inside-Out Solutions, and _ Damien Humphries, franchise owner of Quality Inn. All of the 10 business owners in attendance said they were interested in providing incentives for tourists and locals to shop in Sequim. "No Bridge - No Problem has generated new interest in 'added-value' incentives," Veenema said. Humphries presented the benefits of packaging deals for tourists. He said now, more than ever, people are trying to save money so packaging is essential to draw people to Sequim during the closure and after.
